Mr Diagonal, prime minister of pop is a multi-faceted composer / performer at the frontiers of pop, cabaret and theatre music.

In true diagonal fashion, he always cuts a dash and declines to cut corners.

Often compared with Rupert Holmes, Divine Comedy, Kurt Weil or “Noel Coward on Mushrooms”, his songs are noted for their lyrical precision,  harmonic invention and a density of imagination and arrangement that recalls the ‘light’ music of yesteryear. It’s a playful, knowing pop that hides a romantic soul with bipolar tendencies.

He has released 5 albums, mostly on homerecords.be and has a loyal following in Japan.
He has featured on BBC radio3, the UK Guardian, The Wire magazine and Japanese national TV.
He also writes for other artists in various styles.

His latest after-dinner show Join the Dots is presented solo at the piano / guitar with a few rambling asides and a dash of dark humor. A magical evening of mutant musichall on the Brecht-Bowie-Broadway spectrum.
